How much room does the water hoses need? Not sure if this will fit with the water hoses attached as I have 34 inches of space and still be able to close the doors to the washer and dryer closet or putting the washer sideways as I don't have a dryer right now and don't see being able to get one for a while.

You can save a couple of inches of room in the back of the machine by using 2 right angle hose connectors. Sold at HomeDepot.

it is the depth of the washer that is material. their may be a shorter metallic hose, but the standard hose does not take up much room, Do not use plain rubber hoses. some retailers will not install a washer without metallic hoses. The rubber hoses have been known to break and flood the laundry area.

Samsung recommends leaving 4-6" behind the 33" deep WF42H5000AW Washer for the water, drain and power connections. When installing a dryer in an alcove or closet, it's especially important to leave ample clearance for air circulation and venting, as detailed in the User Manuals.
