Instead of just using really hot water to clean the clothes, the steam comes in and actually steams them clean. It really works great on set in stains. You can use the steam when you want; it is an optional setting.

You can save upwards of $110 a year by switching to an energy star rated washer as compared to a traditional washer. The wash also tends to be much less traumatic on your clothing. It does take longer for the washer to clean clothes, however it spins out more water and helps the dryer cut time.
