I'll give a quick rundown on what each of these terms means in regards to the technology that is offered on the Samsung TVs, and hopefully you will be able to determine which features are best for you. The contrast ratio is the measure of a panel brightness, defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color to that of the darkest color that the system is capable of producing. The Hz refers to the frequency at which the signal is transmitted at. The standard is 60Hz, while some TVs can actually upconvert the signal all the way to 240Hz. Also, the higher the Hz, the smoother the picture will become (this is due to the TV essentially doubling or tripling the frame rate). -MrSamsung
