“Do you need to hook the TV up to the internet for it to work? I am thinking about getting this TV, however my internet is currently not working. I do not want to buy the TV and then find out that it needs to connect to the internet for it to be set up.”

You can set it up without internet

The TV includes a built-in ATSC (digital) tuner, capable of receiving all locally-broadcast over-the-air HD and SD television signals in your area. If you subscribe to either cable or satellite service, however, you will need to connect the TV to your set-top box to view that programming.
