• The TV will auto upscale to near 4k for non 4k sources. Otherwise there several 4k streaming services such as netflix, Amazon instant video, roku etc. Samsung also just released a 4k Blu Ray player but it'll be a few weeks before 4k Blu Ray disks hit store shelves

• You need a provider such as Direct TV or a Bluray (Upscaled). I download movies that are 1080p, and the TV will upscale. I am not sure if I get the best Picture this tv can provide, but I sure do love it!

• Pacer412, The panel is a 4K panel, and will display incoming pictures as a 4K picture. Other resolutions available today are fully compatible with this television. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
