“I'm going to use a swivel stand. The arms of the base will stick out a few inches. It looks like the arms have rubber nubs or shims on the ends, and there is probably a nub or shim under the middle part of the base. How thick are all the nubs/shims?”

I did not end up needing swivel stand OR large $99 Insignia stand (and $99 "furniture-assembly") . My old stand worked, because the raised edges I talked about earlier (search "raised edges") balanced vs the base's center shim, even though the arms oft the base stuck out a few inches. Thanks for your answers.
