I looked into this with my TVs and found that most don't support this feature. I got a bluetooth transmitter "online" that uses the optical out to send bluetooth out so you can connect your headphones. You can also use the RCA outputs. Transmitters can be purchased for $20 and they usually support Apt-x lag free audio.
