The TV measures about 38 1/2" wide. Normally, I would suggest you not exceed the width of the supporting surface. However, the size of the screen is well worth the 1" overlap beyond the end of the console. I suggest buying the 43" screen. Corbu73
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read somewhere not to have my television going over two inches near the edge of my table. The table you set it on is your choice. I would be afraid of children or someone bumping it. You should be extra careful if you are getting one of the thin televisions which I imagine could go flying further if bumped. I am not a television technician.
