- Answer I just plugged the Ethernet cable into the TV and it worked just fine. I believe hard wiring will take precedence over WiFi. I don’t remember having to decide between the two.

QuestionI just got this t.v. yesterday upgrading to a "smart" t.v. We can't get the thing to work from the box we had from Direct TV. It's hooked up correctly but I can't watch any network channels or programs we've dvr'd. Do we need to upgrade the box??

- Answer My direct TV stream boxes stopped working after my move, they no longer work on both my Samsung TVs. I was told by Direvt tv that i needed new boxes. So i canceled Direct tv. Saved myself almost $200 per month.

QuestionDay scenes are beautiful but night scenes are so dark I can’t see what’s going on. Q&As say to turn off Ambient Light Detection under Settings-General-Eco Solution, but I don’t have that tab, I have Power and Energy Saving. See attached pics.

- Answer I have 2 of these and one has a ambient light sensor switch located next to the power button and the other doesn’t the one without the switch has Power and Energy Saving the other with the switch has SETTINGS GENERAL ECO SOLUTION… alas neither seems to improve the nighttime scenes I typically use the advanced picture settings to customize FILMAKER MODE and MOVIE MODE using one for night scenes and the other for daytime scenes and if all else fails turn on dynamic mode and burn your retinas.

QuestionWhenever I connect the HDMI cord to my xbox the screen has red pixels and makes a static sound. It’s not the cord nor the xbox because i’ve tested it out on different tvs.Is the tv defective?

QuestionDumb question probably, but I haven’t had a new tv in years. Do I need a hard cable connection to use or does it a run off Wi-Fi to connect to my cable company?

- Answer I do know that You definitely need Wifi. If you have an antenna, that will work for just basic channels. But it is better to have cable, but that may be too expensive. If so, with Wifi you can get TV apps. Some are free. But you have to purchase the best ones.
