“tried everything to make close caption work and the TV tells me that function is not available. That is ridiculous. I have a hearing problem and the TV speakers are terrible Help? Going to return if there are no options to improve either function.”

Hi Jasminegirl! I am very sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with Closed Captions on your new AU8000 TV. You can turn Closed Captions on/off and change the settings such as separating it from the broadcast screen, font color, background color, size, position, language, etc. by going to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Caption Settings. If the feature is not available, this may be due to built in closed caption functionality of the streaming app or device you are using. Check the content source for built in CC options.
