The remote was an adjustment but I ordered a generic Samsung remote and it works my TV and sound system.  It was not expensive at all and made it easier to work the tv and the apps buttons etc.

Hi Leslie! Please know that many of the buttons on your remote have multiple functions. For example, the Volume button is moved UP/DOWN to adjust volume, and to MUTE the sound, you need to PRESS it in. Pressing it a second time will unmute. The remote does not feature quick access to the Sleep Timer function, you will need to navigate through the menu to access this feature.
