Hi dazz - Please enable Anynet+ on your TV, which controls external devices that are connected to the TV via an HDMI cable. You can do this by going to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = on. If your Q60A TV is still not recognizing your DVD player, please try replacing the HDMI cable with a High-Speed cable with Ethernet Channel, labeled as HEC or HEAC on the cable. ^Gina
