• summrthyme, You can get local broadcasting channels (rabbit ears, over-the-air, etc) with the digital tuner. You can also get Smart TV streaming, although you'll need either a wired or wireless Internet connection for the streaming of Netflix and other apps. But you can't stream Netflix with a traditional TV antenna. You'll need the Internet connection for the Smart TV features. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S

• We use a cheap antenna and get a lot of local channels in very clearly.

• It will indeed, and if you install an HD capable antenna you can get local channels for free in HD.
