• I'm so glad you asked, bkeepr! You can use either liquid or powder detergent in this washer, but there are a few things to note first. This model offers an "Auto Detergent Compartment" that holds enough detergent for several loads. This compartment can only use liquid detergent. If you wish to use powder detergent you will need to use the "Manual Detergent Compartment" and remove the liquid detergent container first.
