My washer keeps filling with water on "spin only" cycle and I can't finish a load of clothes! It never spins them out and gets unbalanced. Tiny loads, sma, loads, just scrubs, couple jeans, 1 small blanket.... doesn't matter what it is. Help!!!! Please! null

Im having this same problem,Samsung sent someone to fix it and it came back .Im not understanding no matter how much clotges I put in it keeps unbalancing.This is tge worst washing machine had problems from the beginning.

I have this problem. What usually works for me (not always!) is to adjust laundry in the tub, put it on the RINSE + SPIN cycle and turn off the rinse (push rinse until no lights are showing), then set Spin to lowest (two lights).

Counter-intuitive? You bet!
Evidence that the machine is faulty? Definitely!
100% fix? Sorry, keep looking :(

This is infuriating. Why have a Spin Only if it doesn't spring only? This is just a programming error that Samsung is too lazy to fix. Spin Only adds water to an already saturated load (why else would I want a spin only cycle). I tried the trick of Rinse and spin but put rinse on 0. All it did was fill, Fill, FILL the washing machine. Waste of water!

I kept having this issue and the Ub code pop up. After 12 hours of attempting to use the "spin only" cyclr on ONE load of clothes, I decided to see what would happen if I shut off the water from the supply. I carefully rebalanced my load, turned off the water (hot and cold), and ran the spin only cycle again. Lo and behold it worked. The single load of clothes that took all day to wash and kept getting unbalanced was fixed in 15 minutes.

Buy a different washer. I am having this same issue. I followed the advice online to run a calibration cycle, then I checked the suspension rods. Apparently a lot of people with this particular model have this problem and the regular solutions do not work. I took the entire drum out to find the problem. If you get the top off, squeeze pool noodles around the outer basket to secure it where it won’t move. Spin the inner drum and watch it. If it does not spin in a perfect circle, the clutch assembly is slightly bent or damaged. By the time you replace the clutch assembly, outer basket, wave washer, hex nut, and suspension rods you could have bought another washer.

Some advanced Samsung washers will go into the rinse and spin cycle when set on spin only, if a small load is in the machine to attempt to rebalance the load. Then it will drain, spin and stop as you expect!   If it goes into rinse spin, rinse spin continuously without ever stopping, then circuit board needs to be checked and mayber replaced.

This is one of Many problems with these Samsung machines. These certainly have their good points, like finding them very cheap on the used market... And a very strong high-torque motor. The biggest problems lie in the programming, it seems very poor and untested out of the box, and unfortunately Samsung refuses to either supply software downloads or access for reprogramming.
I see this as a "Right to Repair" issue, customer abuse, and an overreach in taking advantage of intellectual property rights laws. Companies like Samsung need to be held accountable for these things, and CEO's especially and directly held to account, otherwise you'll never see a change, it will only get worse. These are faulty products, they know it, but they continue the same mistakes, then turn their back on us.

As with all of you, I have had this problem with the exact same washer as well. I finally broke down and had a repair person come and look at it. He said the suspension rods were bad and it would cost $700 to fix it! He said this is a common issue with Samsung washers and he would not recommend anyone to buy. Good advice, but too late for me.

Mines kept refilling and rinsing for about 30 mins with only one spin. I took half the dripping wet cloths out and stopped and restarted the cycle. It is working correctly now. Make sure you stay by the machine to make sure the timer is going down and not staying the same time. Until you feel like it’s working correctly again

I have purchased 3 Samsung appliances and they were all expensive and cheaply made. After only 3 years that i purchased my stove, the knobes on my stove keep turning and won't turn off the gas. The inside of the knob is made of cheap plastic and breaks apart (had to use electrical tape for knob to stay on). I believe this is a safety issue. The gas can be left on but knob is turned to off. I called several times and i was told there is nothing they can do. I need to buy all new knobes (why? so they can make more money from me and they are going to do the same thing) The refrigerator is another piece of junk, the ice crusher broke apart and pieces of plastic were in our drinks, thankfully nobody choked on them. I called Samsung again and nothing they can do. I also have the same issue with my washer.

It’s the suspension rods on the unit. Theres one in ea of the four corners of the unit. Google the fix, it’s very easy.. the tub refill is apart of the programming, but ounce the out of balance trigger is repaired (rods) that prop goes away.  Short answer is the suspension rods are warn out and need replaced so it doesn’t throw the tub out of balance.. it’s a novice repair

you are correct.  there seems to be a logic problem in mine-- it gets stuck on or before the sin... Sits there.  If i unplug and restart i can get it to work mostly.  But the default cycle is now spin only when turned on so I know there is some kind of electrical logicboard problem.  It is not resetting properly or something.

I have the WA5 5300.  Have had this same problem although the machine is not that old or heavily used.  It seems to be a circuit problem.  The logic gets stuck before spin sometimes.  Will sit there forever, or sometimes fill with more water and sit there.  The only workarounds I have found online are 1) turn off and unplug for ten or more minutes. 2) hold the on and pause buttons down for 10 seconds to clear power.  3) Plug in. Turn on. 4) My unit defaults to "Spin Only" which I think must be related to the problem. 5) Start the spin only cycle.  It sometimes works immediately or may sit from the 14 min point and then start up successfully at about 8 min point.  6) I may have to do this more than once.  7) Leaving it unplugged between uses seems to help.

I tried Samsung support chat.  They had useless advice. They wanted to have a tech come fix it and were clear it would cost almost as much as a new machine.  That is unacceptable.

If you buy Samsung washers, after this, I have no sympathy.

Constant refilling, Ur and Ub codes and wet clothes can be caused by several issues but they are most likely due to worn or broken suspension support rods.  These are relatively easy to replace without calling a service tech if you have some DIY ability.  There are many videos available online.

I had the same problem . Here's what I did,put the washer on rinse and spin cycle and where it shows rinse 5 times,rinse 1 time press the rinse button under them until the light goes off and then press start. Hope this is helpful.

Check the suspension rods.
After fixing that, set Delay End to '17h' and hold Start for 8 seconds. When you see 'AS', press Delay End until 'Co' appears. After a few seconds, move on to 'Ho'. After that, move on to '6' or 'PC'. If you see PC, you may need to run Calibration Mode. After a few minutes, move to '7' until there is no water. After that, move to '8'. If it gets unbalanced, IMMEDIATELY press Delay End again. '10' will appear. Once it slows down, the door unlocks. Next, press Delay End, then press Smart Care. 'Cr' will appear. Turn the dial clockwise, and '001' will appear. After two seconds, your latest error will come up (ex. 'Ub'). Keep turning the dial clockwise until you see '---' or 'Cr' again. Turn the washer off. Turn the washer on. Turn the cycle selector to Quick Wash/Normal, and hold Rinse. Rinse Only will turn on. Select up to 5 Rinses. Press Spin and Rinse+Spin will turn on. We recommend setting the Spin Speed to Level 2 or 3.
