Hi Brandon! The sub should be placed on the floor. Placement can depend on room shape, size, and the furniture in the room, so it can be different for every customer's room. Nice thing about a sub is that it can go anywhere. I recommend you it try it in a couple of different spots and see where it sounds best for you. ^Patty
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I put mine on the floor by the rest of the TV & soundbar. They are raised to 3-4 feet off the floor. Other than perhaps volume adjustments (if you placed the sub somewhere significantly away from TV) there's no reason why it can't be placed where ever it's out of the way. The rear speakers though should be elevated. The rear speakers are all mid to high tones that travel in straight paths unlike the bass wave that are wider. Depending on the size of your room you can either hang them from a wall or placed in shelves or buy a speaker stand for them. Take some time to make sure that if you buy a speaker stand that it will work with the speakers you're using. I bought on price point thinking they were all the same and while I've made it work, it took a lot of messing around to do so.
