QuestionHow big are the two smaller speakers? Are they completely wireless or do they wire into the subwoofer?

- Answer They are about six inches tall by 3x3 and they do not connect to the sub woofer. They have a small power box that plugs into the wall behind my couch for power and the two speakers plug into that for the electrical power. That small box connects via Bluetooth to the sound bar.

QuestionAre these Harmon Kardon speakers? If not how are they compared to them. Are they low quality? I know the Q80R and Q90R models have Harmon Kardon speakers which are fantastic. It means a lot to me to have good quality sound.

QuestionAccording to the Samsung site and the Best Buy site (nomenclature above) these are 5.1.2-channel not 3.1.2 as you say. I even called Samsung plus I talked to the in home advisor and mgr. at Best Buy. If they are 3.1.2 why didn’t they correct it?

- Answer Hello Jazzcat9 - The HW-Q850T soundbar is 5.1.2. The sounbdbar alone is a 3.1.2 channel system with Dolby Atmos andAccoustic Beam 2.0 technology working as your Atmos speakers. When you connect the rear speaker, which is included you will obtain 5.1.2 channel sound. ^Cris

QuestionWill the speakers automatically come on when I turn the tv on?

- Answer JP- The soundbar should be one with the television if you have it connected HDMI to the ARC HDMI port on the television. The TV sees the sound bar as the TV speakers when connected this way. ^Cris

QuestionWill this setup be compatible with non-Samsung TV's? We have an LG 65" OLED -- and our current LG Atmos soundbar/sub system is having some issues after 2 years of use. This seems like a good system...if it will work with our TV.

QuestionI've read of two issues with this soundbar and am wondering if there is an easy fix for either. 1. Lip sync issues when connected to Comcast cable box. 2. Alexa compatability issues. I would be using this soundbar with QN75Q90TAFXZA TV. Thanks!

- Answer I have a Comcast Xfinity X1 cable box. I have had syncing issues as well, mostly with combined Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmost content. I recommend installing the August 24 firmware update. That seemed to fix my sync problem. The firmware update may also improve other soundbar issues. It’s important, too, to download and read the separate instructions for how to do firmware updates. Pay particular attention to the instructions about how the zipped and unzipped files should to be placed on the flash drive. If that's not the same, the firmware update may not install. You need to buy a microUSB-to-US adapter if you do the update that way. I have a different TV (Sony), however, and your results may be different and require other adjustments.

QuestionDo you have to use the rear speakers provided or Will they system work with existing surround speakers? Can you connect existing satellite speakers to the wireless module instead of using speakers provided? Advantage is I have existing one hung already :)

QuestionSoundbar has been working great! However, the first night I used it, volume was loud and kept at 14-22. Now suddenly all devices need higher volume to achieve same level from first night, more like 35-45. Haven't changed anything. Why is volume different?

- Answer Haven't experienced that. I did notice that there are differences in volume depending on the audio "settings" you chose. For instance, the remote control for the Soundbar has different audio settings. Different settings have different effects on the volume. I've left settings on "surround" and the level for that is about 20 and I have a good size den.

- Answer I'm almost positive it will pass Dolby Vision to the TV if you have an external device plugged into the soundbar HDMI In. I have the previous Q70R and it doesn't list Dolby Vision for passthrough either, and it absolutely does passthrough just fine. Samsung is simply not in the Dolby Vision camp, their TV's don't support it, so they prefer to avoid discussing/giving it any attention at all when they are pushing for HDR10+ as the alternative to DV.

- Answer No,you cannot use the remote to control the TV. The soundbar remote is used to adjust settings for the soundbar but your TV remote can be set to turn on the soundbar along with your TV and adjust the volume.

- Answer Hi Iceman! The HW-Q850T includes a wall mount bracket in the box allowing you to mount the soundbar directly to the wall.
