I also had trouble hearing the dialogue on our older Samsung N550 soundbar. The updated Samsung HW-Q60R (or its equivalent marketed by Costco) has what is called "Adaptable Sound". It automatically adjusts the sound of the speakers so speaking comes through more clearly and isn't drowned out by the other sounds. The bass is also better on the Q60R than the older N550. Best Buy and Costco have been both selling this better sound system at a reduced price for the holidays.
