“I have used digital optical cables in the past with no issues, BUT I was told that an HDMI cable for sound was actually better with little delay. I was just wondering what most buyers are using”

I was using an HDMI & was told the optical is better. I now use an optical cable. Sound delay & sound yncronization is a MAJOR problem. GEEK SQUAD said it is the cable box, Spectram said it is Samsung. VERY CONFUSED! Gary

Please try again later.I have a wound the TV and matching sound bar for about a month now for the 1st few weeks I had a hooked up By way of optical because that's what we are taught optical sounds better incorrect this TV is built with HDMI ARK and 4K passthrough all you need is a 4K or better HDMI cord to go from the soundbar to the TV via the ARK HDMI plug on both the I believe its HDMI 3 on the tv and the HDMI next to the optical port ignore the in or out if it say ARK plug it it there but you need a night quality and hi rez HDMI cord for it to work it it send sound and video both directions through the one cord and it is capable of transmitting more bands then optical can. Also if mounting to the wal make sure it minimum 2 inches from bottom of the tv to get best sound from all the speakers and options
