A:Answer Great question, Steve! Samsung washers use both hot and cold water dynamically in a system called Auto Temperature Control. Also, different parts of each cycle will use either hot or cold water, or both. For instance, the Warm cycle uses only cold water until the final rinse. Some temperature settings, even those labeled Cold, will still use the hot water line if the temperature goes below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. ^Jecca
