A:Answer Try to wash whites as the last load and use bleach. That helps. Keep the lid open to let the drum dry out. The problem with all these machines is the check valve doesn't close fully, and the water from the last load is sitting in the bottom of the drain hose, and it mixes with the new wash water. If you are having that much of a smell, put a cup of bleach in the drum and run a quick rinse and spin with no clothes in it before you do laundry. I dont know how often you do laundry, but, I do laundry 2 times a week. Usually 2 loads of colors first, than the last is whites and I use bleach. I just got rid of my front-loader and went back to a top loader. It took forever to figure out how not to get the clothes to smell.
Also, you CANNOT let your clothes sit in the washer wet. As soon as they are done get them out and into the dryer. If they sit in there more than a day especially in the summer months, they will smell kinda like urine or a wet towel.
