  • QuestionIs a drain pan needed or recommended and if so which size?

    Asked by Pan.

    • Answer Hi there, A drain pan is recommended depending on the state requirement or the location where the washer will be installed. The wooden floors are best protected with a drip pan to avoid any accidental drips to your floor. The unit measures 29.4 inches wide and 36 inches deep any drip pan than can fit those measurements will do. See the link for the recommended drip pans and where to purchase them in the link below under the (Prepare your laundry room) sub-topic and the hyperlink for the drip pans and how to get them. • QuestionI work in a different town than I live. Can I restart the dryer from my phone, so it can be going by the time i get home to fold the clothes?

    Asked by Brogan.

    • Answer I imagine that you can, but there is a simpler way. You can program a delay when you load it. The time you set is the END time, so that is pretty convenient for this scenario. Note, however, that this depends on the estimate it makes of the overall cycle time, which is sometimes longer than it calculates. Better to set a time well in advance of when you need it. You can also set it to open the door at the end of the dry cycle (this is the default), so it is not strictly necessary to unload it immediately, unless you have some particularly wrinke-prone items in the load.

  • QuestionMy clothes are occasionally a little damp after drying. How do I remedy this?

    Asked by WaitWhat.

    • Answer Two suggestions: 1. Program it to open the door at the end of the dry cycle (this appears to be the default behavior). That will allow a little extra drying after it stops. This is how mine is set, and the clothes are always quite dry. 2. It is possible to program it to be a little more dry than the factory setting. This is described in the owner manual.
