“How far does back control piece sit from wall? Saw 1 negative review claiming 2" due to space for fan plus lines/cords? Did others have problem? If not how did you deal with problem? Did that one person just not know how to install? I can't > 1".”

It does not have the same room behind with the fan and it does stick out quit a bit more. Unfortunately I would have never thought I needed to inquire at the back dimensions to see if it was going to be flush to the wall. I love the stove and am making it work regardless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My old one didn’t sit flush against the wall either and had it for over 20 years. Once we installed it, I never even noticed it again. If it drives you nuts, get one of those shelf units that fits over your stove to put spices and such on. It really is not a big deal. Not worth sending such a great appliance back.
