As for seasoning the grates of a gas stove, the Internet search gave mixed answers. Uncertain purpose for doing so, be it to prevent rusting or cook wear sticking. Some responses did using oil or animal fat while others did not. Seems the manual did not specify nor unable to find. With ours we lighted burners for cooking and off we went.
