“Is it normal for the oven to exhaust extremely hot heat when using or is mine defective? Under the controls the heats from the oven exhausts so hot that I couldn't stand comfortably - it must have been 400 degrees-just as hot as in the oven.”

This one was surely defective. Hopefully Laurie got it fixed or replaced.
