“Is this a true 120 hz cause as seen on the box it only lists 60? Nobody knew the answer when I called. Thanks”

• For 1080p TVs, Samsung Motion Rate is the real refresh rate. For 4k TVs, Samsung Motion Rate is twice the real refresh rate. Therefore, in this case, since it is a 1080p TV, IF the Motion Rate 120 is indeed correct, the real refresh rate should be 120Hz.

• Although the web page says Motion Rate 120, I looked the the actual box in a store and it says MR60. So it is 60Hz.

• As of 4PM EST Wednesday before Black Friday , BB changed the UN50J5201 description to read Motion Rate 60.....

• It is not. For most brands, you will need to half the rate to get the true rate. A 240Hz would be more likely to be native 120Hz.

• According to Samsung, any listed Motion Rate is twice the actual refresh rate. Therefore, 120 Motion Rate = 60Hz.
