I also had trouble finding a clear refresh rate spec on this TV (and some of the info I found seemed to contradict). In the end, I went to the Samsung site and chatted with a tech online (easy to do and very helpful). This was one of two models he recommended for sports. We got it, watch about 75% sports, and are very happy. I wish there was some sort of quantitative "blur motion" spec (at least I do not know of one) so that you could really compare models - but all I can say is that I have not noticed any blurring. My annoyance now is that with the clear, big picture it is quite obvious when DirecTV starts halving the frame rate (presumably at moments when their network gets overloaded).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This television features Clear Motion Rate 120 to prevent blurring in fast-motion sports, video games and more.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The native panel refresh rate is only 60Hz for the JU6500 so you will see some judder on those movie scenes with side to side panning. The backlight manipulated Motion Rate is 120. This is another compromise for a lower price. If fast action sports programming is important to you, consider a higher refresh rate panel of 240Hz. You will likely notice the motion lag in fast moving scenes from movies and sports on the JU6500, especially in the larger size screens of 60” and up. http://reviews.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/samsung-lcd-tv/samsung-un50ju6500.html

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't noticed any motion blurring so far. I've had the TV for 1 month. I watch a lot of golf broadcasts and the quality is amazing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some reviews say there is juddering due to it being a 60hz panel.. I watch football and action movies and have not seen it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a Refresh Rate of 60 htz. It is advertised to have a Motion Rate of 120 which is double the amount of hertz; therefore it would be 60 htz.
