“Playing content stored on a NAS I have a home network-connected NAS with a lot of content in different formats. I use a WD Live. a Boxee in the past, to play this content to my current TV (Which is not Smart and about 8 years old). Will this, or any other Smart TV, play back content stored on a home network without using a Roku, WD, or media server? Thanks!”

I don't know about that, we just purchased our tv and love it. We are not tech savey at all but I do know this tv can do a lot of things I had no idea that existed. I would contact Best Buy and they can answer any questions on this.

We can't promise or guarantee compatibility with specific NAS drives or hardware. We do support MSC Class devices (thumbdrives) and some HDD drives and network options for media. --Mr. S
