• I have a Bose sound bar which is connected using the optical connection. The TV remote will not control the sound. I can either use the Bose remote to control my devices or my Logitech universal remote.

• The easiest way to connect a sound bar to this TV is through optical cable from TV to sound bar. I have a Samsung sound bar hooked to mine and my remote controls both, making it super easy. As soon as TV turns on sound bar turns on and volume is controlled with remote. I would suggest using Samsung sound bar with Samsung TV for best results.
