A:Answer This may not answer your question, but here is what I experienced. I was able to connect my external soundbar through one of the two TV HDMI ports, but decided I needed that port so connected my soundbar through the digital/optical port (for which I had to buy a cable). In otherwise, this TV has two audio outputs that I have verified. It also has a USB port, but I did not use that, so don't know if it supports audio output.
