I bought an antenna optimized for UHF channels - around $50 from Amazon. We have moderately strong signals from several channels, but it doesn't "see" some that are weaker. On the older replaced TV, the channels tended to pixelate more, particularly noticeable with very rainy atmospheric conditions. I installed the antenna in our attic, about 15 ft away from the TV, then optimized picture quality by moving the antenna around in the attic. The old TV had an option for "signal strength" on its menu, which was pretty useful in setting up. I can't find that option on the new Samsung yet, but so far have not needed it. If I were doing this again I might try a somewhat more expensive antenna that is set up for a wider range of signals, e.g. UHF + VHF + ???. There are web sites that give approximate broadcasting signal strengths for various area codes, as well as the frequency bands. I don't see an "Antenna In" option on our TV menu either, but I just selected the "TV" input and that seems to connect to the coax point. If that doesn't work, it may be a broadcast signal strength problem.
