• The TV doesn’t require a receiver but you do need the Internet. Yes you can add speakers. The TV will walk you they the set up. The TV is loaded with apps.

• No, it doesn't need a receiver. You can connect it to a receiver if you wish. I have a Bose Soundbar, Bose Bass, and Bose rear speaker connected to my Samsung 50" Q60B TV
