“I have an older Pioneer receiver,. I want to connect a roku, fios cable box, and an Apple TV to the Samsung via hdmi. Then run an audio optical from tv to receiver. Will this work? Ie audio from all 3 devices will be received on receiver tv settting.”

Yes. There is a single connector that connects to a box that has 4HDMI ports, and digital optical out, and two usb ports. You'll go from the optical out to your receiver for audio. You can chose to connect HDMI devices to the Samsung box or continue as you are using your receiver to control the HDMI source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, there is no optical audio link on this TV. Unless your receiver has HDMI ports there is no way to connect this TV to a receiver. I had to buy a new receiver myself because of this issue.
