I am not vision impaired but it does have a voice activated remove which works with some features. While watching cable, assuming its a major service that the TV has already mapped like Time Warner or Dish Network etc., you can hold down the voice button on the remote and say "Chanel 4" or similar and it will work. I think it will allow you do to some other functions like volume if your using the tv speakers, input type etc. I really don't use it much but hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The tv has lots of accessibility or handicap options. As I was playing around with it I felt it would be perfect for the impaired. Not only can you talk to the remote but the tv is capable of responding back. Meaning if u hit volume up it says "volume 11, volume 12, etc. Or it says the channel you are on. It replaces my cable, ps4, and dvd remote it also programed itself. Just aim it when it ask and presto. I cant give a strong review since im not impaired. However, the options I mentioned plus more are equiped on the tv. I am a very techie person and know this tv will be hard to beat.
