This is caused by your cable companies choice of broadcast resolution. If they are still broadcasting in 720p the picture will be fuzzy or have a blur to It. The reason is simple; the source content is using a 1280x720 pixel grid, when that information is upscaled to 4k or 3890x2160 pixels there is no additional information for the scaler to work with so it creates the needed information. Just like if you were out if mustard for your sandwich, you would scrape the mustard jar and spread it the best you can. You will have a slight taste of mustard but not a full taste. Try watching a OTA broadcast, or a DVD/Blu-ray. It will look the way you had expected it to look.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You might check your cable tv box. Sometimes their setting are defaulted to 720P and you want the 1080i...see if you can find that and reset it. Most modern TV's will handle as high a resolution as you can get so don't let the cable box throttle down the signal!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Guess what? We had the same problem, and all we did was unplug the cable box, wait 1 minute, replug it in, and the cable box reset itself to the proper resolution. Verizon had to reset to the new TV. Even the cable rep. didn't know what to do and said to call the Geek Squad. I have no tech experience, but this worked like a charm! Girl power!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try a 4k hdmi cable. It'll make a difference
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have you adjusted all your settings? Go to CNet.com and look for your TV's optimized settings...don't rely on the factory settings, they are awful!
