HDR Premium - Will Display HDR content but won't be 100% true HDR given the panel cannot get bright enough. HDR1000 - Regards to the panel being 1000nits (brightness). With that the TV supports HDR-10. The Samsung KS8000, KS9000 and the KS9800 are all labeled HDR1000 however, the KS9800 is actually 1400nits being as its full array and not bottom edge lit. In terms of being comparable with new UHDBD players yes, as long as you're player supports HDR-10 and no Dolby Vision HDR.
