Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's exactly 48" in length. Plus, the border of TV is so less than a 1/4 ". Lightweight and very Thin in depth. I ordered two Samsung 55", to hang over Fireplace's. When I purchased 1st one 5 yrs sgo, I gave area in inches to a representative, not at Best Buy, they advised 46", Huge Mistake! So waited and now got 55" this time. And definitely worth splurging less than $100 more for the 8 Series. It has literally Everything! If your area is bigger, than go bigger. And get great brackets or stands. My Bedroom one is far from bed, so extender bracket for approx $50, definitely worth it. Other in TV room (off kitchen) is a smaller room. I 100% Recommend using the Geek Squad "Package", it is less than paying per TV if being hung. Even if on a stand, they were AMAZING! Installed both as they easy as delivering a couch. If I can refer names, ask for R. Francis and his co-worker, Marlon. These guys are incredible. So professional, dedicated, efficient, work quickly, answer all questions,, hook up WiFi, Netflix, Apple, and clean up to perfection. Happy to help with any more questions. Good Luck!
