“I just bought the AU 8000. If I run an optical sounds from my cable box to my surround sound system. I get 5.1 surround sound. If I go from Optical Out on the Samsung TV to Surround sound system. I only get 2.1 Help !!!!”

HI Eriepopcorn, To utilize your surround system with 5.1 surround sound, make sure you use HDMI port 3, which offers eARC. Also, ensure you use an HDMI cable 1.4 or higher. Next, ensure Anynet+ is enabled. Go to Settings> General< External Device Manager< Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)< On. If you continue to have issues, please call us so we can troubleshoot further with you.
