• The only difference between the two is that the 6500 is curved and several hundred dollars more

• I asked the same question when I bought the 6300 model and the salesman said the difference was the"model number and the price"! Way to go tv expert guy at Best Buy. He should have said "I don't know"; which clearly was the case. Sorry I don't have a better answer.
