“The general description of the product does not say that it has HDR, but when you click on the "DEMO" link, under the "At A Glance" as well as the "Docs" tab, the specifications do state that this model (UN55KU6290) has HDR. So, does it have HDR?”

Well it is a bit complicated :) It actually does have HDR according to Samsung, but than again it doesn't. Bare with me here...so this is an 8bit panel and as such it just cant reproduce full range of HDR colors--real HDR planes are 10bit. Samsung has their own technology that boost colors little bit on this model, but it's but a gimmick compared to the real HDR. Than again, this is a great all around TV with more than decent color reproduction and picture looks almost perfect for everyday viewing. If you are after HDR on a budget this is what you get, if the budget is not a problem look at higher end Samsungs with 10bit planes.
