• This model DOES have a smart remote. It is very intuitive if you just give it a chance. My cable connection includes a DVR and everything works perfectly. I can use the interactive guide, set up recordings, switch between inputs, etc. without a flaw. I don't use the remote that the cable company included at all. Plus, the voice command feature works very well. Voice recognition has came a long way and I use it a lot.
