The KS8000 is a 2015 year TV. 2016 models were identified by the letter "L." and the current 2017 models are identified by the letter 'M," so the KS800 is a two year old model and no longer in production. It's unlikely there are very few, if any brand-new KS8000 units available for sale at this date, at any retailer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my opinion, no. The KS8000 is a better TV for the price. I'm not certain what you mean about the back panel. The inputs aren't on the TV itself, they are in the external "One Connect" box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't know for sure. My research shows "KS" means (K=2016 model, S=SHUD display) and "MU" means (M=2017 model, U=UHD display). I'm going to wait a while to see if a UN55MS8000 shows up on the market. That should be a 2017 SUHD model, but I don't have a crystal ball. What is the significance of a bolted vs stuck on back panel....just curious.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.@ BobinCT - Because the back panel constantly falls off. I think it has something to do with the humidity in the air.
