I cut the cable two years ago, and broadcast TV is like cable now - except no expensive subscription. I have pared down my available stations to about 29.

1 - All broadcast TV is in hi def now.
2 - If you want to connect audio equipment to your TV, you'll need the "RCA" connectors - red and white. The yellow is video
