“When I connect a Bose soundbar to the Optical Out connector on the TV, can I also leave the TV Speakers ON to listen to the TV with the speakers when I turn off the soundbar?? I like to switch and use soundbar sometimes and TV speakers other times.”

Either one or the other. You just have to switch back and forth which is real easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi scooter - if you have the TV speakers and Optical on at the same time, this may result in an echo. You may want to connect via HDMI instead. If you would like to switch between sources, Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens. ^Val
