Wish I could have seen it in showroom next to LG
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mean it's great... Picture is awesome. Smart features work well with Smart Things app and Google Home with Routines. The screen sufficiently reduces glare in a very sunny room (though of course there is still some reflection). Game Mode is very responsive. It is everything the online reviews said it would be.... It's just that there's always the what if I chose the LG OLED instead, since we ordered during Pandemic and did not get to see them side-by-side in the showroom.

The best of the best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far no problems. Interface is a bit slow when first turned on. Picture quality is amazing! Not sure why Dolby Vision isn’t supported but hopefully there’s an update on that. Super heavy stand which requires two ppl. Was having some issues with sound bar cutting in and out but it’s prob not related to TV. Overall great for the pickiest of eyes. This is the best of the series for 2020 4K

Thrilled with SAMSUNG QLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been enjoying my Samsung 55" Q90T, QLED 4K Smart TV. The picture is very clear with awesome definition and brilliant color presentation from any angle in the room. The sound quality is better than my 8yr old Sony Bravia, and as I have been aging, the clarity of narrative (dialogue) can sometimes be lost in movies or other programs and overpowered by the music or action taking place. This TV helps compensate for that problem. I have added a sound bar system which further gives me additional tweaking ability. Happy to have moved up from 42" to 55"!

One of the Best TVs around
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 55 inch tv for my bedroom. It is fantastic. The features are phenomenal. I have my Samsung sound bar and sub woofer connected to it. The sound is excellent. The picture is one of the best I have ever seen. The built in wifi is spectacular. Live streaming on the tv is crisp and fluid. I like that I can connect my Samsung phone to it and control many aspects. I would buy it again.

Buyer beware of open box advertised as Excellent
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this item as an open box - excellent online but it was not at my local Best Buy. It was at the Ft Meyers (Colonial Rd) location - which is a 1 hour 40 min drive. I wanted it, so I purchased it online. When I arrived, I found the product to be wrapped in bubble wrap. While I was concerned, I was assured that it was in excellent shape and all accessories were w/it. I asked them to confirm. They proceeded to look and then tell me it was missing everything but do not worry, they would put together a package that had all I needed. They scrambled & then told me they could not find a stand but found a power cord and remote that worked. I asked why it was advertised as excellent given part of excellent is that ALL accessories were incl. The manager told me that this was a corp decision for how to list it and that I should use the motto of ‘Buyer Beware’ when buying an open box from Best Buy. That was not how I viewed Best buy and was shocked. I have purchased many open items and have found them to be as represented. Anyways, I agreed to purchase it being I drove the distance but asked for a discount. They looked and said it was lowered being it was a close out, but was told everything was priced by corp & they couldn’t do anything. When I arrived home, I unwrapped it (I was not shown unit in store) & hung it on the wall. As I cleaned it I noticed a scratch on the screen, that the remote that they included for me does not work the TV and that the corner is scratched. Bottom line is that this should of been listed as fair and priced that way. I call the Best Buy toll-free number and explained my issue. I was told my options were to go back to the store to work it out or to ship it back. Well, the store is almost 2 hours away and I can not ship it because it came w/o packaging. It’s frustrating and I feel Best Buy is not any help. So I have a TV hung that has scratches that cannot be used til I get a remote. So, beware and check everything prior to leaving the store.

Incredible Picture and Sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the record, I’ve been Vizio through and through. However, after purchasing three recent higher end models and two failing within 6 mths of purchase and horrible customer service, I starting considering this model. And this was a wise purchase. The sound, out of the box, was incredible. Sure, I used my sound bar but if you don’t have a sound bar you’ll be perfectly fine. The picture is excellent. Rick. Full. And clear. You won’t be disappointed. If you have Comcast Xfinity, be sure to download the beta app and return your box to save on your cable bill. And, you can control the tv with Alexa and the smart things app, too. Older models are cheaper. But don’t fool yourself, go into the store and you’ll see while this tv is better than Vizio, Sony, and LG!

Very good TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this TV. Great picture. Only problem I had was there were no screws to mount it to my TV stand. Ended up going to 2 different places until I finally got screws long enough to secure the TV to the mount. I recommend this TV, just be aware if you are planning to mount the TV to any kind of stand.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this and The Samsung - 85" Class - Q80T Series - 4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR. Also the Q900 8K? Are they all in the same line? which is better? Thanks in advance!
Asked by Ryan.
- A:Answer Pixel resolution is the difference. The 8K TV will is a much higher resolution TV. I have a 55 inch TV, and the higher resolution makes no sense there. In one comparison by impartial viewers on 55 inch TVs they judged the picture resolution of the 4K tv to be higher than the 8K tv when viewed from 8 or 10 feet away. The review moderator then explained that each pixel is surrounded by a small black area, and that degraded the picture on an 8k 55 inch tv. However an 85 inch TV is much larger, and 8K may make sense for a TV of that size. I would check the internet for comparisons between 8K TVs and 4k TVs for TVs in the 85 inch size. Notes: Since resolution is measured in one direction the number of pixels between a 4k TV and 8K tv is more than double. There should be 4 times as many pixels in an 8K TV as there are in a 4K tv since there should be twice as many horizontally and twice as many vertically. You'd have to compare the real horizontal and vertical pixel counts to really tell though. If you had plans of showing 8K movies on your 8K tv I'd check on the availability of 8K movie DVDs, 8K broadcasts, and 8K DVD players. I doubt that there is much available. Samsung will upconvert lower resolution inputs to a higher resolution before display. But the real information isn't there and Samsung is making "guesses" as to what the higher resolution pixels should be. I believe Samsung has gotten very good at this, and the results are very satisfactory, but the process can not be entirely error free.

Q: QuestionNeed basic TV for Netflix, TV shows (YouTube TV). Not a gamer. I have 55" TCL Roku TV that is shot, not even 3 years old. What is Magnolia? Difference between Q90 and Q80, 70, 60? What is UHD HDR? What is recommended for newest basic? THX
Asked by INEEDATV.
- A:Answer Hello INEEDATV, Magnolia is inside of Best Buy, where home theater design experts are ready to help with customized solutions for your unique needs and living space. Benefits for the following models are (Good) Q60T - 100% Color volume, Dual LED. ( Better) Q70T - Quantum Processor 4K, Ambient Mode +, 240 Motion Rate. (Best) Q80T - Direct Full Array,Object Tracking Sound, Ultra Viewing Angle. (Best) Q90T - Direct Full Array 16X, Quantum HDR 16X. (UHD)- Ultra High Definiton ( HDR)- High Dynamic Range. My recommendation for "newest basic TV" for your needs would be either Q60T or Q70T. If you have a very well lit room, the Q80T would be a better solution due to the Ultra Viewing Angle technology in this model. Q: QuestionCan this TV be hung on the wall? I see the stand but no mention if it can be hung.
Asked by bearmandog.
- A:Answer It can be mounted on the wall but NOT the way Best Buy / Samsung shows in their photo. It cannot be mounted close to the wall like those in 2019. The power cord protrudes out the back about 3/4" of an inch. So you are stuck with using a VESA mount and must live with the ugly 1 to 1-1/2" wall gap. Why do they show a fake photo on their web site? The 2019 models looked much better hung since they could be hung like a picture.
