“Hooked up antenna (amplified) through antenna connection on back and I can't find where to switch the source on any of the menus? I also noticed it automatically "recognizes" anything hooked into the HDMI ports. Should the antenna be auto recognized too?”

Press the home button on your remote, go down to the 3 lines and click connected devices. You will see the tv icon.
