“Just installed this range, it is 1/2" from the kitchen wall with spacer installed. There is a significant amount of heat coming from the vent, and the back wall of my kitchen gets pretty darned hot. I am concerned about this. Is there a problem?”

Our prior stove also did this, but it was freestanding and had that upright part with the clock and oven controls on it that seemed to block some of the heat from the wall. I use this warmth to heat dinner plates. Our Vent-a-Hood pulls a lot of the heat up and out of the kitchen. I don’t believe it’s anything to worry about unless your wall gets extremely hot.
