“We just bought a new Samsung Gas Stove and was wondering about the bracket that attaches in the back and prevents the stove from tipping over when the door is opened. Is this bracket necessary or just an added safety feature? David”

Thank you so much for asking! Samsung does highly recommend using the anti-tip bracket. This is because the weight of the oven door is enough to potentially cause the oven to tip over when it is open, especially if there is any added weight on the door, such as someone or something leaning on it. ^Jecca
