The problem is with the favric sofner dispenser overflowing and leaking. Ive had the same problem for 4 months and Samsung juat keeps giving the run around. It seems like its a manufacturer flaw. You can still use the bottom washer if you unplugg it...remove the back panel and manually dry the area where the sensor is just dont use the top washer or ir will do it again. I gave up and finally decided to use my geek squad insurance after 4 or 5 calls. Best Buy will replace the machine but now I have to purchase appliance insurance agajn when it shouldve bee samsung replacing it for free. I do not recommend and I will not buy again.

I experienced quite a number of leaks from Samsung Flexwash since I bought in early 2018. The repair service was not helpful as the issue was intermittent. After two years of basically using only the bottom unit I think I figured it out. It is a design flaw where the upper unit softener dispenser leaks if water is supplied there while the top unit is spinning. The spinning action causes back pressure and water cant drain from the dispenser, then overflows. I solved it in my washer by disabling the water supply to the top softener dispenser. No more leaks. No more softener functionality in the top unit but it is a fair tradeoff.

1lc1 means your leakage sensor detects an internal leak, I found one where the top washer was leaking through the fabric softener dispenser as is spun, ordered a fab dispenser assembly due to fab clogging hoses caused water to backflow through fab disp

To elaborate on RobertF "solution" :

Initially I started disassembling the washer with the intent on cleaning out all the parts that are causing the issue. Thinking if it was clean as new, then it should work again, and I'd stop using Fab Softener. Well in order to do this, you need to COMPLETELY tear apart the washer just to get to all the fabric softener parts: e.g. water supply hose, softener container, drain hose etc. Then I found Roberts solution. I figured if I'm not going to use Fab Soft anymore then why go through the hassle of tearing it apart and cleaning it. Though he doesn't say how he disabled it. In the end I just followed the hose from the Fab Soft container to the back of the unit and found a row of small water pumps. Fab Soft water pump was 3rd from the right(looking from front of unit) with a black connector. I just unplugged that connector and that did the trick. And you don't have to tear apart the whole unit either. Its just 2 screws from back of the unit to pull off the top rear panel. There you'll find the row of water pumps. I also ran a full cycle to make sure the disconnected pump wouldn't throw an error.

I agree with the purchaser above. Our Samsung Washer/Dryer is a year and a half old. 8 months into owning them the dryer broke. It was under warranty so they came out and repaired free. Fine but 8 months old!!

But the top washer lid no longer closes properly. Had someone come out and of course, it's 6 months our of warranty. Paid 1300 for this washer. To repair the top washer will cost $700!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?! 

I'll NEVER buy another Samsung washer. Ever.

I was so excited when I got this washer, saved lots of time doing 2 washes at once. After 7 months got the code 1LC1. I can’t remember how many times this washer has been serviced. They have replaced multiple parts and even the whole “board”. Still not working!! The manager of Sears, where we bought it has just put in a request to Samsung for our money back and we will then buy another brand washer. Great concept....terrible product!!

Hello All,

samsung has come out with a superceded part for the top washer on the flex washing machine's rinse assembly. i have found that the foam seal they used was sticking to rinse assembly causing it to over fill since it could not drain to the drum. the new rinse assembly has a plastic seal with knotches to prevent it from sticking. i ran multiple cycles and have confirmed the fix. the part number is DC97-20128A. some good videos on youtube https://youtu.be/AGfgRYOHE44 and this one helped the most since you really only need to lift up the flex washer to remove the rinse assembly https://youtu.be/KfaFLjTxvo8  ... the pics below show the plastic upgraded seal. hope this helps solve your problems too

I've had my flex washer for 2 years and had the LC1 leak code a few times. I think everyone is correct as it seems to be caused when using top washer and even though we do not use fabric softner I think water is getting into that compartment and overflowing creating the leak. Poor design and Samsung won't take fault for this flaw. Now I have an expensive single washer, hoping this will solve problem after I fix current fault code by having it serviced or letting sensor dry out.

I am having exactly same issue with upper washer softener dispenser. Samsung is not able to fix it. Not sure what to do. After each service it would work for a month or two before leaking again. Terrible customer service. They should at least take responsibility of the product and service they provide. My warranty will expire in a month and Samsung is denying to replace the unit. Keep repairing same part over and over is is not exactly fixing the real issue. There are better product out there, save your money and time.

I do get a 1LC1 error which means that the upper washer is leaking somewhere on the inside of the machine when I run a wash of the upper unit only.  My guess is that one of the valves or hoses is leaking on the inside.  If it gives an error code, probably one of the solenoid valves is leaking.  If it has 2 water pumps, then maybe the water pump that evacuates the upper unit, but it's hard to get a decent diagram of that.  I have cleaned all filters, and only ran water that clearly leaks somewhere on the inside because it fills up the drip pan down below when I run a cycle.

Wish I would have seen this before I bought mine.  Horrid. Diaphragm Broke a little over a year after purchase. They did me a "favor" and fixed it. Well, the washer is less than 5 years old and the diaphragm is broken again. Crazy, Samsung said so sorry out of luck.

DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER. We have had it for less than2 years and recently had LC1 fault code for the upper washer with water on the floor.
Repairman was on the phone diagnosing problem with colleague. Replaced part. 
Worked for 1 wash and second "Rinse only" caused same problem. 
Repairman working on it . @$300/- a pop I am out 600/-

I bought this item about two years ago, about a month in it started leaking out the front they replace the rubber ring, didn't work. They replaced the door it worked, started getting an lc1 error code a few months later. You have to drain it through the plug at the bottom then lift up the back end to get water out of the overflow tray. no opening up the back or anything. make sure you recalibrate after doing this or it will cause the control module to got out. they had to bring me a new one cause mine was just out of warranty, but now the control module is out again on this new one steer clear of this washer if you can. Samsung needs to give everyone another model that is more reliable and cut their losses instead of losing customers.

I agree 100% with this person - do not buy this washer. We had ours less than 2 years before having problems. Now noone in my city can fix it. Samsung needs to train US repairmen. We had 5 technicians to come out, they ordered and replaced parts but our Flexwasher still doesn’t work. Now we have to struggle with Lowes for a replacement. April 9, 2021

We‘ve had this washer about a month and have experienced no issues really. I had that code come up (one of those) on its initial wash, couldn‘t find it in the manual so just turned off machine. Started cycle back up and machine hasn‘t shown that code since nor have I had any issues.
