QuestionOn the Samsung - 60" UN60KS8000FXZA in the store the front sides have a black trim but in the picture you show the edges like the 55,65" TV's sold with the silver edgeless look that I prefer. So what is available in the 60" 4k?

- Answer I was told that the 10 bit panel in the 60 inch was different = different bezel. The 60 inch is made with a sharp panel and the 55,65" is made with a Samsung panel. Both are configured to Samsung's specifications. Hope this helps.

- Answer This TV uses the Samsung One Connect which is a separate block that allows you to plug in up to 4 HDMI devices to the One Connect and then you run one One Connect cord from the box to the TV. So TL:DR Yes.

QuestionThis TV is described as being silver - does it come in black?

- Answer It comes in dark titan (metallic charcoal gray), but I don't know if that color is out yet. I talked to a samsung rep and she said only a few stores carry that color for some reason. However, I looked through all of samsung's certified online dealers and was unable to find it. Model number is KS800D vs KS8000. You can view it on the samsung website. I'm just going with silver, especially while it's $400 off right now. Really the only silver part of this tv you see is bottom since they make them so thin now.

- Answer The sound is better than most other tvs but purchasing an inexpensive soundbar with a wireless subwoofer will dramatically improve the sound.

- Answer HDMI is how I've mine connected. If you can connect HDMI, a single cable for both video and audio, you should have no problems. I have a DISH receiver with HDMI that I ran it to one of my HDMI receiver Inputs on my Audio/Video Receiver and ran a second HDMI cable from my Audio/Video Receiver output to one of the four HDMI ports on the one-connect to the tv. I setup HDMI one by going to source input on the tv with the tv remote and followed the prompts on its setup and I had to ensure my Audio/Video receiver input was selected to match that which I connected to from the DISH receiver input. If I want to watch YOU TUBE or NETFLIX or Amazon and those Apps are selectable on the tv through its remote, I simply connected a fiber optic cable to the one-connect fiber optic output and connected it to one of my available Audio/Video receivers fiber optic inputs for the audio to my speakers. It's simple provided you have compatible connections. If not, then you'll have to look at getting adaptors to connect from one type of a connection to another type, so check for available connectors first. You can select different inputs on the tv via the remote and that depends if you can connect to those inputs. Whatever you can connect, you must be able to select what you want to view and hear all the way along the connections. I hope this helps someone.

- Answer Go get an analog (either composite, component, or vga, whatever you need) to HDMI converter. Lots available everywhere, amazon, bestbuy, adorama, etc.... if you have audio needs as well, be sure to find one that will embed or attach the audio signal to the hdmi as well.

QuestionHow important is it to have this TV calibrated after installation?

- Answer No calibration really needed. Out of the box, the image is crisp and clear. I found that the auto dimming function was a little dark for my taste so I had to bypass it (through the system menus) and correct it myself. If you are a professional projectionist using it as a confidence monitor for presentations, you might want to tweak it a bit anyway, but it's already pretty good.

QuestionWhy does my picture occasionally dim significantly for several minutes?

- Answer I had the same experience. If you turn off the Auto dimming (ECO) feature, this tends to stop. From what I can tell, this is caused by a combination of the ambient light in the room hitting the sensor that drives this feature and the TV video signal itself. The TV wants to upscale the format to take advantage of the 4K, but the signal loss will sometimes show up as a dimmed image.

- Answer Yes, the KS8000 series has an ethernet port (RJ45) on the set itself, see pic below.
